How to make a post in a forum?

Enter your TeamLab portal and click the Community link at the center.

In case you have already logged in to the portal and been using it for some time click the Community link at the top of the page.

Switch to the Forums tab. You will be presented with all the forums available on the portal organized in categories.

Note: to create a new forum in Community you must be logged in as a portal administrator.

Go to the desired category and select the forum you need with the mouse.

The list of all the active topics within the selected forum will be displayed.

Click the title of the topic that most closely matches your question and go to the Step 4.

If your question suits none of the topics start a new one clicking the Create new topic link on the Actions panel.

The Create new topic page will open. Fill in the form:

• enter a descriptive title for your topic;

• type in your message and format it using the Formatting Toolbar above;

• add some tags in the Tags field separating them with commas. It will help categorize the topics and facilitate the search for the other users.

• load files using the Attach file button. The maximum file size cannot exceed 10 MB.

To preview the result use the Preview button at the bottom of the page. If you are satisfied with it close the Preview area and click the Publish button. The topic will appear in the selected forum.

On the page of the selected topic you can either add a new post or reply to other user messages.

To add a new post just click the Add new post link on the Actions panel or use the same button below the message. To reply to the selected message, click the Reply button below it. You can also add a quote to your message using the corresponding button.

By clicking either of these buttons you will be presented with the Create new post form. Type in your message. If necessary, attach a file. Preview the result and if you are satisfied with it click the Publish button. Your message will be added to the selected topic.

Whenever you post a message or start a new topic in a forum, you are subscribed to the topic where you've posted automatically unless you uncheck the box next to the Subscribe to topic option before submitting your message.

There are also three types of subscription that can be made from the Actions panel:

• Subscribe to new topics - you will be notified each time a new topic is created in any of the forums. This subscription option is activated by default.
• Subscribe to this forum - you will be notified about all new posts and topics in the selected forum. The author of the forum is subscribed to it by default.
• Subscribe to this topic - you will be notified about all new posts in the selected topic. The author of the topic is subscribed to it by default.

If you wish to remove any of your subscriptions, you are free to do so in the Subscriptions section of My Tools clicking the [Your Name] link always available on the top of the portal page.
